Judgment 4 the Plaintiff

Mikayla Williams

[Verse 1] The door is open to the greenroom

I hope the heater’s on to warm my hands

I look into the mirror

I see a future fortune on the stand

[Chorus] And today I played the best show of my life

Cause I did it all for me; knew all the words, every line

Judgment for the plaintiff, judgment for the plaintiff

This time

[Verse 2] In front, he’s driving in the bike lane 10 over

But I don’t even stare, don’t even raise my voice

Shiny spinning things on buildings

Don’t know what they’re called, but they’ve grown in number since last fall

And I’m not even distracted (Oh, what’s that)

I’ve got all of the attention cause…

[Chorus] Today I played the best show of my life

Cause I did it all for me; knew all the words, every line

Judgment for the plaintiff, judgment for the plaintiff

This time

[Bridge] I know you’re curious; like- what was so amazing about it?

Well the tone was elegant, with some fight and a little give

I sang most of the words and memorized some of the chords

And oh- right! I had so much fun doing it

[Verse 3] The crowd was my jury

And the cheering was their votes

Telling me I’ve made it this far

Telling me they’ll be here no matter where I go?

[Outro] Judgment for the plaintiff

Judgment for the plaintiff this time
